I am looking at getting a pump and have a few questions. What are the pros and cons of a center inlet pump opposed to a inline pump? Reasons why one brand of pump is better than another? Where is the best place to purchase?
    Thanks,
    Joel

I personally use a center inlet pump, but my pump isn’t attached to a frame/sculpture/whateveryouwantocallit. I selected the center inlet so that it would be easy to move around a position for various tasks during the brew day.

I don’t really think one brand is better than another. You’ll want a magnetic impeller, so there’s no weird moving parts to clean, food-grade and heat-resistant materials, I preferred a stainless steel head, but food-grade plastic works just as well.

I went with a chugger pump because it had everything I needed and was the least expensive at the time.

    I hope this helps.
